LaToyia M. Ledbetter, First Lady
LaToyia M. Ledbetter is dedicated to her relationship with Christ and her service to the church. She graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and a minor in Marketing. For nearly 15 years she has worked professionally within the Marketing, Advertising and Media industries for Major Media platforms such as EBONY and Jet Magazines, WGCI, Facebook, Disney, The Chicago Defender and Yellow Pages, among others.
She currently works as a Marketing Director for a Public Relations and Marketing firm in downtown Chicago whose goal it is to ensure that hundreds of First Ladies and churches around the country receive resources for free health care screenings for the 350,000+ members of the congregations that these churches collectively represent.
In 2014 she married the love of her life, Reverend Ernest F. Ledbetter III, and is a Faithful member of Mt. Pisgah MBC Chicago. She currently serves as President of Mt. Pisgah’s Women’s Ministry as she absolutely loves serving the Women of the congregation. She has also worked with the Career, Media, and Strategy Ministries. She enjoys teaching and speaking and has a passion for speaking to Women and Youth on Spiritual Topics and Life Skills, as well as focusing on business, career and interview/job preparation.
She also has a strong gift in administration and leadership and enjoys working on the business and marketing side to aide churches, ministries, and organizations in logistics, organization, marketing, branding, media, proposals, and strategy.
LaToyia has previously volunteered on the American Heart Association Multicultural Committee. She was also recently asked by the City of Chicago Clerk Anna Valencia to join the City of Chicago Status of Women and Girls Board that represents Women and Girls in the City of Chicago by creating policies and addresses issues surrounding Fair Housing, Gender Equality, Economics, Safety, Education, and Healthcare among others.
Her favorite verses are Proverbs 3:5-6, which focuses on “Trusting in the Lord with all Thine Heart”. She also loves Jeremiah 29:11, which states, “For I know the Plans I have for you.” She is content in knowing that she can trust God with her all because He is the greatest organizer and strategist, knowing completely what He has for her to do. She is excited to know that as she continues in her walk with Christ that His purpose for her is already predestined and she loves that he reveals more of his plan for her each day.
